This policy explains the cookies and similar technologies used on the Ruth Prowse School of Art website, and the choices you have. In South Africa, cookie identifiers can be personal information under the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA), so we only use cookies that are not essential with your consent.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. Some are essential for the site to work. Others help us understand how the site is used, or let us show content from other services, such as a map.

When you first visit, a banner asks which optional cookies you allow. Nothing optional is used until you choose. You can change your mind at any time:

Other technologies
- Local storage: we remember in your browser that you closed the newsletter pop-up, so it stays away for 30 days.
- Spam protection: our forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to check that a person, not a bot, is submitting them. It runs in a frame from Cloudflare and processes limited technical information for that purpose only.
Google Consent Mode
We use Google Consent Mode. Until you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics is not loaded at all, and advertising features stay switched off whatever you choose.
